Wow, this site has really... died... a bit. I guess I should explain... my computer fried itself about three months ago, and I have just finished building a new one. Work should resume on PFM soon, aiming to finish by Easter. There is also the possibility of a new film this Summer (as we all have an extended summer due to exams). In the meantime I leave you to drool over the specs of my new computer *grin*.

Muahahaha... tremble mortals, for your doom is nigh. I'm actually ashamed of the other components, which is why I didn't mention them. Still, I now have the best PC out of the whole PF Crew.

During the October half term I went down to Guildford. While we didn't get a Plank Film done, me and charlie did film his latest Parkour video. To see the video, entitled 'October PK', head over to the Parkour section of the site. Don't forget to leave feedback on the forum and via email.

Hi all,
I'm not quite sure why, but for some reason the 04/05 films pages had reverted to earlier versions and becuase of that, the links for SWAT : OR and CS : Source were dead.
I'm not sure how long they have been like that, but I have just fixed them, so all is well!

I'm getting back into adding content often to PFMobile so be sure to check that out if your into your Palm PDA games!

Thanks
James

Hi all! My long-dormant Parkour section has finally received an update in the form of a new video imaginatively titled "Parkour in the South of France". My lack of personal camcorder has stopped me adding to my section over the past year but luckily I had access to one while in France recently! I hope you enjoy the video.

Hey all,
Just writing a last-minute update since I am leaving tomorrow for two weeks. I have had a hellish week, so it turns out the script, whilst fully conceived, is only two thirds written. This shouldn't be a problem, since the first three days of filming are more flexible than the latter three days. It also means a lot of organising on the day before we leave for me. But we do have the train tickets, it's booked, we are filming this! And it will be good...

We will be making a major step up with regards to props, costumes, filming equipment, and (hopefully) acting talent. James has also put forward the idea of making a documentary; "The Making of TROCPC2" or something similar; so that you can find out what it's like filming with a budget of absolute zero and a negative margin for error in our timescale. It will doubtless end up as another blooper reel, not exactly a challenge to produce inadvertantly with our combined acting talent.

It may also interest you to know we are using extras in this film. We have a few lined up already, but we could always use more. If you will be in the Huddersfield area and are interested in helping us, please contact James as I will be away. I will leave it to him to decide who, if anyone, may be extra an in the film, as well as what day we intend to film the extras scenes. If you have a bbgun or similar as well as appropriate costume, that will be helpful. If we get sufficient numbers we may be able to extend a few of the fight scenes. Thats all for now.

The first episode of the Plank Films podcast is now online, discussing the beginnings of Plank Films, what we do and what is yet to come. Please head over to the Blog to find out more... Please leave feedback!

Two new videos are online on the 'Others' page under 'Videos'. These are two videos that have been filmed as part of my Media Studies and Video production courses at my college. I am the only 'Plank' to feature in these videos.

Hopefully you'll all enjoy something a bit different, and see some new faces that may feature in our future films. 'Cycle of Death' and 'The Good, The Bad and The Zombie' can be found on the 'Others' page!

Hey all,

Since it's been so long I have quite a lot to metion, and only a little time to say it (it is currently 00:20). Firstly, I have been working on the site. I have managed to make the entire site Valid HTML 4.01 Transitional, as can be seen from the new link on the right. This has reduced a lot of the code and should hopefully make it more compatible with different browsers. I also used the oppurtunity to remove some rubbish from our server. I have removed the adverts as they were a waste of time. Finally I have fixed a couple of links.

Now, I have also been writing the script for TROCPC2. This is taking up a lot of my time and I am about halfway through the final version of the script now. We are filming soon and the film will hopefully be online before school starts again in September. I can't tell you much about the film other than it will be our best yet... and the working title for this film is currently "Cataclysm". Also... over on the Current Projects page...

David (Site Webmaster)

P.S. Anyone on the Plankfilms crew... if you update a page on the site please check that it is Valid HTML 4.01 by clicking on the link on the corresponding page. If it is not either fix it or comment out the link and inform me. You only need to check posts if they use complex tags (images, tables, etc.) Thanks.

The pre-production is well underway for TROCPC 2 (The Revenge of Charlie's PC 2). It's looking great and we will be filming sometime in august.
While Eagle Quest was filmed down in and around Guildford when I went down at easter, this time eveyone is coming up to the north to film!
We have a great selection of locations we can use, as well as some new faces. I'll keep you posted, stay tuned....

Hi all,
Hope your all enjoying our new film 'Eagle Quest'.

Just thought I'd post a few little updates. I decided to go back and reconvert some of our previous videos, so now you can download SWAT : OR and CS: Source for you're iPod of Palm Pda (TCPMP) and watch them on the go!

Also the Official Plank Films Blog is now live at 'blog.plankfilms.com'. The blog will feature news posts related to all aspects of Plank Films from Indie Films to Parkour to 360 to PFM. A central place that all updates will be placed instead of on the main Plank Films news page which contains news to do with our Indie Films. The blog will also be home to our random ramblings and other things that we are involved with.
Go check it out! 'blog.plankfilms.com' for some extra features from the production of Eagle Quest
