My new Zodiac's have now arrived! I've been busy sorting them out today. I may get some new content up here, but probably will save it for when I launch the new site which I am constantly working on. Next week we (Plank Films) will be filming our new film so that will take up most of the time. It won't be long till the site is back to normal updates though. I look foward to it. Check out our others here - www.plankfilms.com (Eagle Quest being our latest) James

No new news about my Zodiac's... but the new PFM is being made as I speak ;). Here's a press release from Astraware! THE MIDLANDS, UK - June 29th 2006 - Astraware and Digital Eel are excited to announce the release of Big Box of Blox for Palm OS(R) and Windows Mobile(R) handhelds. Big Box of Blox is a block stacking game taken to outrageous extremes! Using stylus or button controls, players arrange the three-blox-high stacks as they fall. Match blox in groups of three or more, vertically or horizontally, to eliminate them - but that's not all! Don't just stack the blox. Smash them, blast them, mutate them or explode them in a shower of flames! Use special blox including jokers, bombs, frogs, mushrooms, fireballs and slot machines to clear the board before it reaches the top! Choose from five exciting game modes: Flaming Peelout, Blok Atak, Groink, Mushroom King and Asylum Cubez or even create your own combination using the special Custom Mode. Faithful to the critically-acclaimed PC version, Big Box of Blox features cool psychedelic graphics, awe-inspiring animated backgrounds, brain crunching sound effects and an epic music soundtrack. The game's graphics reflect the dark and mysterious nature of the PC original, but PDA owners are sometimes known to go outside into the light, so Big Box of Blox also includes a gamma adjustment slider so you can select anywhere from dark and atmospheric to vibrant and acidic. "We originally intended to make a nice normal blox stacking game, however, we failed to accomplish this goal marvelously. Big Box of Blox is anything but normal," explained Digital Eel co-founder, Rich Carlson. Big Box of Blox is available for devices running Palm OS(R) 5.0 upwards, and Windows Mobile(R) for Pocket PC and Smartphone 2003, 2003SE and 5.0. The game is available from the Astraware website priced $19.95 with a special limited time release discount for Club Astraware members. About Astraware Founded in 1994, Astraware Limited develops, publishes and distributes games for mobile devices. Some of the company's best known handheld titles include PopCap Games? Bejeweled®, Zuma®, and Insaniquarium®, Sandlot Games? Tradewinds, and Astraware Sudoku and Zap!2000/2016. Astraware is a Microsoft(R) Certified Gold Partner. Mobile gaming enthusiasts have downloaded more than 30 million copies of Astraware's products, and the company has customers in over 100 countries. For more information, contact Alison Barclay at alison@astraware.com, or visit http://www.astraware.com. About Digital Eel Digital Eel is a self-funded independent PC & Mac video game development team located in Seattle, Washington, USA. The group was formed in 2001 by game industry professionals, Rich Carlson, Iikka Keranen and Bill "Phosphorous" Sears, as a self-described "labor of love between three friends who like to make games together." Digital Eel created the critically-acclaimed "Infinite Space" games, as well as award-winning and genre-twisting favorites like Dr. Blob's Organism and Big Box of Blox Thanks

No other content has been lost however, and I hope to get back to work now that we are on the new server! Sorry about the late update. I've quite busy this week. The Footage page will

The new footage page is online. The appearance of the main Footage pages is exactly
the same, but when you click on the name of a game to see footage of, a window
pops up which plays the video, has the information and links to official website
and to try/buy. I find that it works better and looks nicer, and is a lot easier
to change if I have new footage or need to change some of the links on the side
bar, since before I would have to do it on every single footage page :P. I'l get
new content up as soon as possible! Please post on the forums and let me know
what you think about the new footage page!

I have added some gameplay of it onto the Footage page. Look under 'Arcade/Shooter'
and click the game to watch. I would advise that you all at least check out the
demo, more information here : My Little Tank homepage

New Footage: 8 Clips -
*Microquad, *MTeam, *Paintball 2, *Pocket Mini Golf,
*Table Tennis 3d, *Traffic Jam *Ultimate Bowling Fighter, *Zuma
New Pages: 'Other Videos' and 'YAYZ' -
- 'Other Videos' - This page contains videos that me and my friends have done.
They may not have any relation to Palm PDA's but they are converted to .AVI's
ready for portable viewing. Not all the videos are online yet since my HD is mucking
up a bit, but they will be there soon.
- 'YAYZ' - This is a more interesting story. www.lcdgear.com had a kick-off contest that ended at the end of September. The task was to make
a 5 minute video involving the Tapwave Zodiac. So I set to work and came up with
a video idea. The Plank Films crew helped out as actors, and the video turned
out quite well. We won the contest :). I thought I'd share it with you. Hope you
enjoy it!
Now that's what you call a BIG update :) (Don't forget to post your feedback
on the forum)

Well, I thought I'd follow up yesterday's big update. This time it's the first
exclusive footage for PFM :). A game called 'Wizard World' has been in development
for the zodiac for some time now and is nearing release. It looks like a very
original game idea and should be great. PFM has the first exclusive piece of footage
direct from the devs. You can view it here:

I have just started a new 'Specials' section on the Footage Page. The first special
footage feature is the 'Astraware Footage Library'. This page already has 6 pieces
of footage (from the Astraware titles already on the Footage page). In time I
hope to have footage up of every single game title available on the Astraware
site! This page will be updated regulary with new footage. Astraware Footage Library.
I may implement a guestbook also soon, and possibly a comments/ratings system
for the video reviews/footage and guides on the site!

I'm currently still sorting out some of the videos for the 'Other videos' page,
some need slightly different encoding settings. The Footage DL page has been updated

kick-off contest) is being made.

UPDATE: New Game footage on 'Footage' page of:
*DZEEET, *GeoPod XE, *SkyForce, *Stunt Plane, *Super Miners, *Xploids, *3D Zapman
There will be a new 'Other videos' section added this weekend on PFM which will
contain other videos that I have created either by myself or with friends. They
might not necessarily be related to Palm in any way, but there will probably be
something there you will enjoy. All the videos will be converted to high qual
AVI as well, so that devices running TCPMP of a reasonable speed (200mhz +) will
be able to watch them!
7 new game clips will be added to the footage page within 1 hour!

A week and no updates! Sorry about this. I've just started my new college and
have been sorting out school stuff mostly. Anyway, I have both Warfare Inc. and
the Dreamway video reviews written out, just have to do the filming which is the
easier part. I hope to get them done as soon as possible. I will get into a better
routine and get more video reviews done faster!
Also I thought I'd mention that the Video Review page has had a bit of a redesign.
Now they are all on one page and I have used Bookmarks. (with some help from Adam
:P)
Thanks for all your support so far

I have now redone the 'Footage' page. The layout has been changed and now each
game has it's own page with a short summary of the game and the footage now will
stream into a windows media player windows on the page instead of you having to
download the file to your Hard Drive, then watching.
Now that the site has been more or less sorted, my next task is to do a bunch
of new video reviews. I will most likely have a big release of about 4 video reviews
very soon. Stay tuned
Thanks

Hi all,
I've had some time to improve PFM. All the 'How To' guides in the Guides/Help
area have now been updated for the new versions and made more palm centric rather
than just zodiac. Hope you enjoy them, and if you haven't tried ZDoomZ, ZHexen
or ZQuake go there now!!
I've redesigned my Zodiac game list from the old Zodiac section and added it
back onto PFM, its in the Guides/Help area also so check it out and let me know
of any games that should be added to the list.
Finally, I've been testing out some things with the Footage page. There will
be a seperate page for each bit of footage with some info, links and the video
will play in a window. This seems to work fine in IE but not in FF. When I get
it sorted it should be great and a big improvement.
IMPORTANT: Just to say that I seem to have misplaced the usb audio thing that
I use to import the audio for my video reviews. I have 2 new ones written (Warfare
Inc, and Dreamway) and more to come. I'l try to find it :P
Hope your all enjoying the new site.
